Miss Kirsty trained at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance in London and graduated with a First Class Honors Degree in July 1996 and gained her LRAD qualification.
The Royal Academy of Dance is the renowned center of excellence for dance throughout the world. The teaching award Licentiate (L.R.A.D.) is its most highly prized qualification.
After graduation from the Academy Miss Kirsty worked as a freelance dance teacher gaining experience at schools in both London and Lincolnshire, teaching R.A.D. Ballet from baby classes through to Vocational examination level. In addition she teaches both I.S.T.D. Modern and Tap.
The Skelton School of classical Ballet provides fully qualified tuition in Ballet, Stage Modern and Tap from ages 3 upwards. Students are prepared for Royal Academy (R.A.D. Children’s Ballet examinations and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (I.S.T.D.) Children’s Tap and Modern Stage examinations. Also  R.A.D. Vocational Ballet  and I.S.T.D. Vocational Tap and Modern Stage examinations are offered for older students.
The training provided ensures that students are comprehensively prepared for furthering their dance education at Vocational dance and stage schools.
As part of the schools curriculum every student will be given the opportunity and encouragement to participate in the Skelton School of Classical Ballet’s Annual Show.
The school also encourages students to take part in local dance festivals which are held throughout the region.     Choreography facilities are available.
